Invoke the 25th Amendment to Remove President Trump

To: Sen. Rounds, Sen. Thune, Rep. Johnson

From: A constituent in Keystone, SD

April 6

I'm asking you to support invoking Section 4 of the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from office. His Easter social media post threatening severe action against Iran demonstrates he is unable to discharge the duties of the presidency responsibly. A president who uses a Christian holy day to threaten military escalation shows dangerous judgment and a fundamental misunderstanding of both diplomacy and faith. This isn't presidential behavior. It's reckless posturing that puts American lives at risk and betrays the values he claims to represent. Senator Chris Murphy and other lawmakers are right to call for Cabinet action. The 25th Amendment exists precisely for situations where a president cannot fulfill their duties with the stability and judgment the office demands. Trump's pattern of inflammatory threats, particularly toward Iran, creates unnecessary risk of war. The prediction markets are already responding to the instability. I know this is unprecedented. But so is a president who combines religious imagery with threats of violence. The Cabinet has a constitutional duty to act when the president's conduct endangers the nation. I'm counting on you to support this necessary step.
