Oppose the proposed Paramount-Warner Bros Discovery merger, launch aggressive oversight of the DOJ approval process, and enforce our antitrust laws. This deal would hand Trump allies — including David Ellison and his father Larry Ellison, the billionaire founder of Oracle — control over CNN, CBS, HBO, TBS, TNT, Food Network, HGTV, and more. That is not a media landscape. That is a monopoly. David Ellison's acquisition of CBS News in 2025 already produced a noticeable right-leaning slant favorable to the Trump administration. Handing him Warner Bros Discovery on top of that would be an unprecedented consolidation of news and entertainment under politically aligned billionaires. Trump's own involvement in the negotiations makes this look exactly like what it is: crony capitalism. This merger will cost thousands of entertainment industry jobs and put constitutionally protected free press under the thumb of people with a clear political agenda. Block it.
