Don't get rid of property tax and then tax everything else. Matt Hall is offering two plans, one to remove property taxes and one to tax things he seems luxury items. Balance it out so property worth less than $1 million don't get hit as hard. Taxing large luxuries like private jets and country club memberships makes sense. Taxing our local attractions just makes it less appealing to go to them, causing more loss. You can midline both these ideas and actually better Michiganders. Of course the easiest option would be to tax people who make more than $5 million more, but that's unlikely.
