Publish Equal Rights Amendment without delay

The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) has been fully ratified since 2020, yet it has not been officially published and added to the U.S. Constitution. By failing to take this crucial step, the federal government is denying women the explicit constitutional protection against sex-based discrimination that the ERA would provide. The amendment establishes a clear judicial basis for deciding cases of sex discrimination and safeguards hard-won rights from being rolled back. With a challenging political landscape ahead, it is imperative that this long-overdue amendment be enacted without further delay to solidify equal rights for women under the law. The process to officially publish the ERA is straightforward - it simply requires you, as the sitting President, to instruct the Archivist of the United States to certify and publish the amendment's adoption. Failing to do so perpetuates an unacceptable status quo of inequality. I urge you to take immediate action and direct the Archivist to publish the ERA. Equal rights should not be a matter of political expediency or delay. Certification is the final step in a process begun decades ago, and further postponement is unacceptable. Women's equality in this nation has already been deferred for far too long. The time to enshrine the ERA in the Constitution is now.
