I am writing as a concerned citizen, with an urgent and unequivocal demand: It is time to enact comprehensive, unassailable Red-Line Laws and Break-Glass-In-Case-of-Stolen-Election Laws. These provisions must trigger immediate legal and political consequences the moment a court order is defied, or a duly elected representative is unlawfully refused their seat.
The current state of election integrity and the protection of democratic processes is at a critical juncture. Too many examples, both within our state and across the nation, show that elections are at risk of being undermined, whether through fraud, manipulation, or unlawful refusal of elected officials to take office like Representative Adelita Grijalva . This cannot be allowed to continue.
We must be prepared with laws that are as swift as they are resolute, ensuring that no attempt to steal or sabotage an election goes unanswered. The constitutional principles of free and fair elections must never be violated without swift and overwhelming consequence.
Given the current political climate and growing concerns over election interference, we cannot afford to delay. Now is the time for bold action. I urge you to write these laws, pass them, and ensure their enforcement. The longer we wait, the more vulnerable we become to those who wish to undermine the will of the people.
Thank you for your consideration
