We Must Reform Supreme Court! Should Democrats ever have the opportunity to hold power again in Congress and the White House, a first priority *must* be Supreme Court reform. Unfortunately, we’ve seen this court question or outright strike down laws that have been passed by Congress and served as precedent for years. Just passing new laws in the future leaves it up to the whims of this Supreme Court as to whether they shall get a chance to stand. Moreover, this court has been systematically dismantling the laws and guardrails for free and fair elections (through decisions targeting the Voter Rights Act, redistricting, gerrymandering, etc.), as well as the way decisions like Citizens United and the shadow docket decisions have vastly increased both the amount of money influencing politicians and the unchecked power of the president. All of this taken together undermines our democracy. Please do everything you can in your current capacities to shine a light on this issue. I also pray that this will be a key cornerstone of planning for any future Congress and Democratic administration. Our elections and our democracy depend on it. Please reform the Supreme Court!
