I am writing to express my very strong opposition for any measures to cut funding for public broadcasting. These were set up by Congress in a very specific way, so as not to make them controllable by any president. This is a violation of the separation of powers. As a parent, I know how important public broadcasting is for promoting literacy and opportunity amongst the nations children. It is very sad to me to think that my children or grandchildren would not have access to this resource in our extremely wealthy country.
