An Open Letter

To: Sen. Curtis, Sen. Lee, Rep. Kennedy

From: A constituent in Holladay, UT

March 6

As Congress is making decisions about next year’s funding for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) I ask you as my elected official to join the bipartisan group of House members supporting increased funding for the NEA and NEH in FY27. I ask you to sign the NEA and NEH appropriations request letters circulating in the U.S. House of Representatives. NEA and NEH grants support job opportunities for union creative professionals in every state while providing all Americans with access to enriching programs that lift up local economies. These grants come with important workplace protections. NEA and NEH grants are particularly critical for rural Americans.   Please restore federal arts funding to a full funding level of $1 per capita.
