I want to put my objection to Secretary Brooke Rollins’s post on the record. She used her official account on X to post a racist, demeaning image of a Black man accused of SNAP fraud as a “fraudster” Halloween costume. It was disgusting and completely inappropriate for a Cabinet secretary’s government account. As a Texan, I find this especially embarrassing and infuriating because she is from Texas. She is an embarrassment to our state, and her conduct makes Texas look bad. Please publicly condemn the post and make clear that this racism is unacceptable. It should not be ignored or allowed to pass as normal conduct from a government official.
