Today I am inside my house with the doors and windows closed, air conditioning mercifully on, listening to stories on the news of outside events canceled because of poor air quality, baseball games rescheduled, and even my own activities today severely curtailed due to my asthma. This is a clear sign of the dangers of global warming, and the havoc that we are wreaking on the world. Summer should be a time of ease and fun and not a battle with the elements. The Trump administration though has made climate change into an alleged hoax, and has done everything to weaken and destroy measures that were making a difference in the battle against climate change. Congress needs to act quickly, as scientists keep saying there is not time to waste on this issue. Please work on regulatory measures, and increasing renewable energy usage, rather than worrying about the 2020 election results, or trying to keep people from voting in the midterms., or the myriad other vanity projects that the president is spending time on. We elect our representatives to work for us, the people, please do so now.
