Please protect both access to the ballot and public confidence that every lawful vote is counted accurately. Illinois should maintain voter-verifiable paper records, routine post-election audits, secure equipment, strong cybersecurity standards, transparent testing, clear chain-of-custody procedures, accessible voting for disabled citizens, and adequate training and funding for local election authorities. Eligible citizens should have straightforward opportunities to register, correct errors, vote early, vote by mail, or vote in person without unreasonable delays or burdens. At the same time, the public should receive clear explanations of how voter eligibility, ballot security, counting, auditing, and certification actually work. Please create an easily understood public election-security dashboard, publish audit results, disclose significant problems and corrective actions, and provide rapid factual responses to false claims that could undermine participation or provoke threats against election workers. Election integrity requires security, transparency, accessibility, and political neutrality together. Please protect all four.
