Stop the Chaos: Reverse the Policies Creating Airport Security Crises

To: Sen. Plumb, Sen. Curtis, Rep. Maloy, Pres. Trump, Sen. Lee, Rep. Dailey-Provost, Gov. Cox

From: A constituent in Salt Lake City, UT

March 27

The administration created the airport security crisis and now proposes an unclear fix that doesn't address the root cause. I need you to push back on policies that gut federal workforce capacity and then scramble for band-aid solutions when the predictable consequences hit travelers. Hours-long airport queues didn't appear out of nowhere. They're the direct result of staffing decisions that left security checkpoints understaffed. Now the White House claims it will order these workers to be paid, but reports indicate there's no clear legal authority for this move. This is governing by press release, not by competent policy. Americans deserve better than manufactured crises followed by legally questionable executive orders. We need you to demand a real plan that maintains adequate TSA staffing levels, respects federal workers, and keeps airports functioning. The pattern is exhausting: create chaos, announce a dramatic intervention, leave the actual problem unsolved. I expect you to hold this administration accountable for the disruption and demand they stop treating essential government functions like props in a reality show.
