I am writing as a deeply concerned constituent in response to the decision by the Department of Health and Human Services to cancel contracts and pull funding for vaccines that are being developed to fight respiratory viruses like Covid, the flu and H5N1
Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. once again used his platform to spread disinformation about life-saving mRNA vaccines. His claims are not only dangerously false but undermine decades of rigorous biomedical research and lifesaving public health efforts.
Enough is enough.
At a time when science and truth should unite us, voices like Kennedy's are sowing distrust, delaying critical treatment, and giving oxygen to a fringe movement that has already cost lives. Vaccine misinformation is not a political issue—it is a public health emergency.
As my elected representative, I urge you to:
*Publicly condemn this kind of reckless, pseudoscientific rhetoric.
*Support and strengthen vaccine education and public health funding, including ongoing research in mRNA technology which is proving effective beyond COVID-19, including for cancer and other infectious diseases.
*Defend the work of scientists, physicians, and public health professionals who have been relentlessly targeted and threatened by anti-vaccine extremists.
America cannot afford to put communities at risk. Future pandemics will be harder to stop without the help of mRNA. I urge you to take an unapologetic stand for science, facts, and the health of your constituents, and family and friends you care about.
