An Open Letter

To: Asm. Connolly, Sen. McGuire, Gov. Newsom

From: A verified voter in Forest Knolls, CA

June 9

I supported Tomales Bay State Park Forest and Wildfire Resilience Project. I know that there is a need to reduce the overgrowth of nonnative brush, etc. however, I am strongly opposed to the use of Roundup (glyphosate) in this sensitive area. The WHO has listed glyphosate as a probable human carcinogen and it is on the California list as being known to cause cancer. This is a critical wildlife area and an active aquaculture area. It is dangerous to spray Roundup here and it is already against Marin County policy to use it on our roadsides so it shouldn’t be in our forests either. Please direct that glyphosate NOT be used in this project.
