Block the EPA's Rule Shielding AI Data Centers from Clean Air Accountability

To: Rep. McClintock, Sen. Schiff, Sen. Padilla

From: A constituent in El Dorado Hills, CA

August 21

Reject the EPA's proposed rule that would let AI data center backup generators dodge clean air standards. Everyone deserves clean air to breathe, and this rule change would degrade air and water quality in communities already living near these facilities while stripping away their right to know what's being built next door. That's unacceptable. This isn't a minor technical tweak. Keeping communities in the dark about pollution sources makes it impossible for families to protect their children's health. Congress needs to step in and block this rule before it's finalized. The AI industry doesn't get a pass on accountability just because its energy demands are inconvenient to regulate.
