SIGN THE DISCHARGE PETITION, FORCE THE VOTE ON RELEASING EPSTEIN FILES

To: Rep. Auchincloss

From: A constituent in Newton, MA

July 21

I am deeply disturbed by the Trump Administration’s abrupt flip-flop on releasing the Jeffrey Epstein files. It’s hard to imagine a good reason they went from insisting the client list was about to be released to “it’s all a hoax” so quickly. Epstein’s crimes were horrific, and his close connections with power and long history of getting away with it have very reasonably made many Americans extremely suspicious about what we still don’t know. We’ve mixed disturbing realities with speculation and lies by bad actors for years now, and it’s hard to separate fact from fiction. We need to know the truth, and a full airing of what the federal government knows will help us get it. Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Ro Khanna (D-CA) have pushed a bipartisan bill requiring the Trump Justice Department to release all documents and records in their possession related to Epstein. Trump’s ally Speaker Mike Johnson is refusing to even bring it up for a vote. Please sign the discharge petition to bring it to the floor as soon as possible. We deserve accountability and justice, no matter who is implicated.
