Governor Newsom, Please support AB1340, AB288, AB55, SB42, and SB684. AB1340: The gig economy is exploiting the informal workforce loophole. Labor is the backbone of society and rideshare drivers deserve protections too. AB288: With fascism on the rise, we need to ensure the people are running the show. Protect workers' rights to organize. AB55: As someone who wants to give birth one day, expand access to perinatal care. Everyone was birthed and the mothers that risk their lives to serve society should be supported. Simplify the licensing process for birth centers that serve MediCal patients. SB42: People, not profits, should run our society. Far too long, money has hijacked our democracy. Lift the Ban on public campaign financing. We need people-powered election systems. SB684: Make Polluters Pay. For too long, polluters have made a mess and have run away with the profits. They need to be held accountable for their actions. Destroying our soil, air, and health is criminal and should not be profitable. They have plenty of money to establish a Climate Superfund to build the world we all deserve.
