I urge you to go to each of the ICE detention facilities in CA, but especially the new facility at California City, and conduct a thorough, unannounced inspection of the facilities and conditions. The people being held in these centers haven’t been convicted or even charged with crimes. The reports of conditions in these centers are horrifying and there have been reports of deaths due to insufficient medical care and unsafe conditions. This is counter to our values as Americans. Inspect these facilities and hold the administration accountable!
