Oppose budget cuts for CISA. I’ve worked in the tech industry for decades. Cybercrime is exponentially expanding and impacting more companies and individuals than ever. Trump’s 2027 budget cuts $707 million from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). This is a huge mistake at a time when nation-state hackers (such as North Korea) are focusing on harming American companies and individuals. CISA has already cut programs that share threat info with state governments and other industries. These additional cuts will just make the USA a sitting duck in the eyes of cyber criminals. Texas is home to a large part of the technology industry and the CISA cuts should be alarming to all of us. Oppose budget cuts for CISA.
