I read about how Gov. Hochul is not using her powers to block ICE from setting up a gigantic detention center in Newburgh. I do not want my state government to be complicit in the creation of a vast concentration camp in my area. I have found the governor's inaction on immigration--including dragging her feet on New York 4All and then watering it down--to be truly a disappointment. No one should be enabling ICE, no one should be compromising with them. Governor Hochul and her staff should be leading on this issue and walking the walk, not just talking the talk. People lives are being destroyed by ICE on a daily basis, and it would be shameful for people in power to do less than all that they can.
