Dear Senator McCormick, I have been writing you with concerns since you took office. I am grateful that someone in your office takes the time to write me back in response to every communication that I send you. On the other hand, I am extremely disappointed that every one of your positions boils down to allowing the President to enact his agenda without any critical thinking on your part. As my representative in the Senate, I expected that you would take the time to reason out the impact of what comes to your desk before signing on to it. I want to remind you that you represent the great State of Pennsylvania. You were not elected to say amen to everything that aligns with the President’s agenda. You were elected to represent the best interests of your constituents. In your responses to my concerns, I would like to see evidence that you do more than just agree with the President. I would like to see evidence that you are thinking of the welfare of your constituents and the long term wellbeing of the State of Pennsylvania. I would like to see evidence that you apply critical thinking and ethical decision making to justify the positions you take. I would like to see that you at least try to be on the right side of morality.
