This week, CMS announced a new “anti-fraud” initiative, the comprehensive regulations to undercover suspicious healthcare (CRUSH), alongside a package of fraud prevention actions. The announcement made at the White House by vice president JD Vance, HHS Secretary Kennedy and CMS Administrator Mehmet Oz included a $259.5 million dollar referral of federal Medicaid funds and a six month nationwide moratorium on the new Medicare enrollment for certain Durable Medical Equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEPOS) suppliers.
This impacts disabled people now and in the future. Anyone with a wheelchair that needs repairs or a new wheelchair plus all other DME will be impacted negatively and sometimes fatality.
This Administration speaks with their actions to how much they HATE disabled people. Which is ironic because everyone will eventually become disabled over the course of time through aging.
Fight this administration. Your elderly are the largest most financially powerful voters. Show them you are for the People!
