I am writing to urge you to oppose SB 3977. This bill is proposing government overreach that is trying to stand in for parents supervising their children and tech giants properly moderating their platforms. In the process, it would threaten the privacy rights of everyone online, and have a chilling effect on small sites because of significant regulatory burden. Please, do what you can to oppose this bill.
