I’m writing because I’m deeply concerned about the recent Congressional resolution condemning “socialism,” — essential programs that support working Americans: Social Security, public schools, infrastructure, environmental protections, and even the military. These programs are the backbone of a functioning society, not a threat to it. The true threat to our country is fascism. Countless Americans have died fighting fascism across the world. To ignore or normalize it now is a betrayal of their sacrifice and the values they defended. I am asking you to introduce or support a resolution condemning fascism, to make clear that our nation stands firmly against authoritarianism and political violence. Thank you for your leadership.
