Impeach Trump for Unconstitutional Voter Suppression Executive Order

To: Sen. Husted, Rep. Joyce, Sen. Moreno

From: A constituent in Willoughby, OH

April 25

Congress must begin impeachment proceedings immediately against President Trump for his unconstitutional executive order attempting to federalize elections and restrict mail-in voting. This is a direct assault on the Constitution and a transparent attempt to rig the 2026 midterms. The Constitution gives the president zero authority over elections. States set election rules, period. Trump signed a similar order last year that was struck down in court. He knows this is illegal. David Becker, executive director of the Center for Election Innovation and Research, confirmed that "There's not a single provision in here that will withstand judicial review." Trump is deliberately violating his oath of office to defend the Constitution. This order directs DHS and USPS to create federal voter lists and restrict mail-in ballots based on false claims of fraud that have been debunked repeatedly. The Justice Department is already pressuring states to hand over sensitive voter data including social security numbers and has filed dozens of lawsuits without winning a single one. This is autocratic behavior. Article 2 Section 4 exists for exactly this situation. Start impeachment proceedings now, convict, and remove this administration before they succeed in dismantling free and fair elections.
