Oppose SB 30

To: Sen. Ginn

From: A constituent in Hoschton, GA

March 3

As your constituent, I strongly urge you to oppose SB 30. This bill is a direct attack on transgender youth, their families, and medical professionals. Every major medical association in the U.S.—including the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics—supports gender-affirming care as safe, necessary, and life-saving. Parents, not politicians, should make medical decisions for their children. Families deserve privacy and respect when it comes to healthcare, free from government interference. SB 30 strips them of that right. Additionally, the Supreme Court is currently reviewing U.S. v. Skrmetti, which challenges restrictions on transgender healthcare in Tennessee. Passing SB 30 now would be reckless, inviting legal battles that waste taxpayer dollars. This bill puts politics over expert medical guidance and endangers vulnerable youth. I urge you to vote NO on SB 30.
