Pursue bipartisan path for responsible, effective government funding

The recently passed House resolution is a concerning step that puts partisan politics ahead of responsible governance. By pushing through a six-month funding bill without bipartisan input, important programs risk being underfunded or misallocated. This unilateral approach fails to address the real issues Americans face daily. I urge you to reject this resolution and instead work across the aisle to draft a comprehensive, shorter-term funding measure. A one or two-month continuing resolution would allow both parties to negotiate in good faith on spending priorities that truly serve all constituents. Forcing through ideological cuts without debate harms vulnerable communities and core services. Funding the government is a fundamental responsibility that necessitates cooperation, not brinksmanship. I hope you will put constituents first by voting against this resolution and pursuing a path of prudent, bipartisan compromise to keep the government operating effectively for all Americans. Rushing through this bill without input is an unacceptable way to govern.
