Dear Senators,
I’m writing as your constituent to urge you to firmly oppose any legislation or policy that would allow for the sale, transfer, or privatization of federally managed public lands.
These lands are not only critical to the health of our ecosystems and wildlife but are also an essential part of what makes this country beautiful, strong, and free. As someone who spends time outdoors with my family and pets—fishing, hiking, and exploring—I can tell you firsthand that public lands are irreplaceable.
Transferring them to private interests or state control often results in:
• Restricted or eliminated public access
• Increased environmental degradation
• Permanent loss of land meant to be preserved for future generations
Public lands belong to all Americans, not to corporations or short-term economic agendas. Selling them would be a loss that cannot be undone.
Please stand with Texans like me who deeply value conservation, access to the outdoors, and the right to roam our shared landscapes. I urge you to vote against any effort to chip away at our public lands—whether through direct sale, quiet transfers, or legislative riders.
Protecting these spaces is not partisan. It’s patriotic.
