Congress must act now to stop Trump from demolishing the Kennedy Center and replacing it with an amphitheater. The Kennedy Center is a federally chartered institution — only Congress has the authority to make structural or operational changes to it. Trump's takeover and any plans to tear it down are flatly illegal, and silence from Congress is complicity.
Not a single taxpayer dollar should go toward this demolition scheme or any of Trump's other vanity construction projects in Washington DC. That money belongs to the National Park Service, which is already struggling to fund basic operations and maintenance across the country. Redirecting it to feed one person's ego while parks deteriorate is indefensible.
Speak up. Pass legislation explicitly blocking federal funds from being used on any unauthorized changes to the Kennedy Center or Trump's other DC projects. The law is on your side. Your constituents are watching.
