I know my representatives (you) are not interested in representing your constituents. I am addressing you all together anyway, because using my voice is the best thing I can do. Dear Senators Hawley & Schmitt and Bob Onder, you guys need to realize that your voters don’t want you to just do whatever Mike Johnson or the president say to do. We want you to listen to us, if not more than the president, at least equally, because we are the ones you work for & who keep you in your job.
Here are the things on our minds: we want checks/balances, equal branches of government, we don’t want to go to war with Venezuela, we want immigrants to be treated with dignity (impeach and remove Steven Miller immediately), we don’t want any more tariffs, we want lower costs in housing (rent and loans), electricity, groceries, health insurance, tax the ultra wealthy instead of giving them handouts, and a government that listens to us when we speak out.
I am a Christian, and I don’t believe we are “persecuted” as Senator Hawley has been saying. But I do believe Christians in Congress are harming the weak, vulnerable, hungry, and the lower class. And I want my Christian politicians to actually act like Jesus. Please reflect on that and read Matthew 5.
Thanks for your time.
