I am writing to demand immediate congressional investigation into the recently released Jeffrey Epstein files and the removal of any officials compromised by foreign intelligence operations. According to reports from the Daily Mail and other sources analyzing these documents, Epstein's operation functioned as a KGB honey trap, with Russian operatives flying in to collect compromising material on powerful figures. Both Trump's and Putin's names appear thousands of times in these files.
The documents include email exchanges showing Epstein discussing Trump with Russian officials including Churkin and Lavrov, with Epstein offering to provide Putin insight on how to approach Trump. This suggests Epstein actively facilitated the development of kompromat on someone who would become President of the United States. These are not vague allegations but documented communications that point to espionage operations targeting American democracy.
Despite these revelations sitting at the Department of Justice, no robust investigations into espionage or treason have been pursued. No one has been called before Congress to testify under oath. Both political parties have allowed this matter to fade after Epstein's death and Ghislaine Maxwell's imprisonment, even as the national security implications remain unresolved.
I am calling on you to immediately initiate congressional hearings to investigate these espionage allegations. Any officials appointed by Trump, including cabinet members and other appointees from this term, must be thoroughly vetted for potential compromise by foreign intelligence services. If evidence shows they pose national security risks, they must be removed from their positions.
The American people deserve answers about whether our government has been infiltrated by foreign operatives and their assets. This is not a partisan issue but a matter of national sovereignty. I expect you to take decisive action to protect our democracy from those who would betray it.
