Everlee Wihongi is a lawful permanent resident in ICE detention

New Zealander Everlee Wihongi is still stuck in an ICE prison, after getting detained at LAX airport on April 10. Everlee is a green card holder and her parents are citizens. She lives in Wisconsin and has been in the US since the 1990’s. Her maternal ancestry includes two American citizens. Everlee does not have a court date until June 10. She has not been told why she has been detained. She should not be in ICE detention. Please look into her case and work with your colleagues in WI to help get her released. I know she is not from WA, but this intimidation of non-white lawfully here residents cannot stand.
