Congress must reclaim its power and force an end to this Republican administration’s war with Iran. Each day we get closer to having this conflict get even more out of control. Ships cannot safely move oil and other supplies through the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian proxies are being pulled into the war, forcing multiple fronts. A recession is imminent. Neither we nor the Persian Gulf states have the munitions to shoot down Iranian attacks for much longer. The majority of Americans oppose this unnecessary war, and we have few allies who will stand by us in this. Our children and service members deserve better than this. Did we truly learn nothing from our wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Viet Nam? Now this Republican administration wants an additional $200 billion to attack Iran, while American families struggle to buy groceries and are in danger of losing their healthcare. Congress has the authority and the power to end this illegal war. My wife and I urge you and your fellow members of Congress to fulfill your oath to the Constitution, reclaim your powers and stop this war before it spreads further.
