Vote No on DHS Funding Without ICE and CBP Reforms

To: Sen. Schiff, Sen. Padilla, Rep. McClintock

From: A constituent in El Dorado Hills, CA

April 28

Vote no on any reconciliation bill that funds DHS without meaningful reforms to ICE and CBP. These agencies are already overfunded and out of control. They don't need more money—they need accountability. Before Congress hands over another dollar, ICE and CBP agents must be required to identify themselves, show their faces, and obtain warrants before making arrests. These are basic constitutional protections that every American deserves. Right now, these agencies operate with impunity, harming our communities instead of protecting them. Using a reconciliation bill to sneak through more funding without reforms is unacceptable. If these agencies can't follow the law and respect civil liberties, they shouldn't get rewarded with bigger budgets. Vote no.
