On Saturday, June 14, 2025, New York City will join a historic nationwide movement—“No Kings”—with marches and rallies against what thousands of New Yorkers view as a rising tide of authoritarianism that threatens our democracy.
In Midtown Manhattan, marchers will assemble at 1 PM near Pershing Square (Park Ave & 42nd St), proceeding at 2 PM toward Bryant Park in a demonstration of unwavering democratic commitment . Simultaneously, the PSC‑CUNY contingent will organize from Bryant Park to Madison Square Park, stepping off at 2 PM, in solidarity with educators and students .
These marches aren’t merely protests — they are declarations of the values that define New York: freedom, justice, equity, and the rule of law. They stand in direct opposition to intimidation tactics, attacks on free speech, and the overreach of executive power. This day of civic action is a chance to proclaim: In New York, no throne can stand.
We respectfully urge you, as guardians of our state’s principles, to:
1. Attend the “No Kings” march on June 14 — your presence will underscore the importance of democratic leadership.
2. Issue a public statement affirming the right to peaceful assembly, free speech, inclusive governance, and dissent.
3. Commit to legislative action that preserves fundamental rights—voting access, privacy, reproductive autonomy, and protection for vulnerable communities.
Your participation would amplify the message that New York’s leadership stands unwaveringly for democracy. Thousands of New Yorkers will march that day; your voice and presence would echo their hopes, not just across our city, but to the rest of the nation.
Thank you for defending the democratic ideals that light our path forward.
With respect and civic resolve,
