Republicans better make up their minds very soon. Should they continue to support the walking huge ego named Donald Trump or should they wake up and do what they supposed to do - care about their constituents and do their duty to defend the Constitution.
Public opinion is now turning against Trump. He is “under water” in general polls, and also in polls about immigration, fighting crime, the economy and especially the war. They must decide whether to stick with Trump or realize that the tide is turning enough to finally hold him accountable.
In Julius Caesar, Shakespeare wrote “Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once.” He is referring not just to soldiers who avoid battle and spend their lives fretting over “what if”, but also politicians who are scared to confront tyranny.
There is an adage “History is written by the victors”. By sticking with Trump the GOP risks being remembered as anti-democracy, corrupt cowards. This label will hound their sons and daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Choose wisely!
