Dear Senator Fetterman,
I write to you not out of malice, but out of profound disappointment and urgency. Your recent actions and rhetoric — particularly your unwavering, uncritical support for Israel amidst its assault on Palestinian civilians — are not only morally indefensible, they are politically reckless. You have abandoned the values of justice, human rights, and equity that once drew many of us to support you.
At a time when leaders must show moral clarity and courage, you have chosen callousness and provocation. You have demeaned those calling for peace and accountability, dismissing a growing chorus of voices — including Jews, Muslims, Christians, and secular humanitarians — who demand an end to genocide and apartheid. Your language has been combative, divisive, and fundamentally out of touch with the people you claim to represent.
Beyond policy, I must also speak to what so many are seeing and saying in hushed tones: You are not well. This is not shameful — mental health struggles are human. But they cannot be ignored, especially by someone holding one of the most powerful elected offices in the nation. It is clear from your erratic public behavior, your tone, and your repeated antagonism toward vulnerable communities that you are not presently fit to serve. That is not an insult — it is a call for you to do the brave and responsible thing: to step down and seek the care and healing you deserve.
True strength is not found in clinging to power while lashing out. It is found in stepping back when needed, in putting people above ego, and in choosing integrity over pride.
Senator Fetterman, you are failing us. Step down from office. Seek the help you need. Do not let stubbornness destroy the credibility and conscience of the role you were entrusted to fill.
