The Issue
National No-Confidence Petition
We, the undersigned citizens of the United States, hereby express our collective vote of NO CONFIDENCE in the presidency of Donald Trump.
WHEREAS:
While our Constitution provides no formal mechanism for a national vote of no confidence, the fundamental principle that government derives its just powers from the consent of the governed remains paramount;
Citizens in a democracy must have means to express when that consent has been withdrawn;
The absence of a recall provision at the federal level should not silence the collective voice of the people between elections;
THEREFORE:
We declare our unified position that:
The current administration no longer commands the confidence of the undersigned citizens;
We call upon Congress to formally acknowledge this petition as an expression of democratic will;
We urge all elected representatives to exercise heightened scrutiny and robust oversight of executive actions in recognition of this widespread withdrawal of public confidence;
We demand that this petition, upon reaching 10 million signatures, be entered into the Congressional Record and formally acknowledged in both chambers;
We call for the establishment of special bipartisan congressional hearings to address the specific grievances articulated by petition signatories.
This petition serves as a formal instrument of democratic expression, placing our elected representatives on notice that significant public dissatisfaction exists requiring their immediate attention and response.
