When the President Posts Like This, It’s Time to Intervene

Earlier today, I wrote to ask whether the President of the United States is mentally fit for office. Then he posted this: “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT’?” That’s not a parody. That’s the President of the United States—the leader of the Republican Party, the man who claims he’s “bringing Christianity back to America”—using his platform to belittle a private citizen for her appearance. It’s petty, sexist, a gross abuse of presidential power, and let’s be honest: it’s just plain icky. And it gets worse: • He threatened Bruce Springsteen for criticizing him overseas, mocking his appearance and warning, “we’ll all see how it goes for him” when he returns. That’s not a joke—it’s a veiled threat. He is hinting at federal retaliation against a U.S. citizen for exercising free speech. That’s textbook authoritarianism. • He declared that the Supreme Court is being “played” by the Radical Left and “hated by the public.” That’s not analysis—it’s a direct attempt to undermine judicial independence and pressure the Court to rule in his favor. • And he’s still lying about his “ONE, BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL,” claiming it will save America from a 65% tax hike. That number is fiction. The truth? His bill raises taxes on working people and adds $4 trillion to the deficit. That’s not policy—it’s fraud. So here’s the question: Why are most of you Republicans still going along with this? To those of you who continue covering for him, parroting his talking points, and pretending this is normal: You are enabling the abuse of power. You’re not protecting democracy—you’re helping dismantle it. And when the truth about his mental state comes out, you’ll be the ones asked: Why did you let him hold the nuclear codes? But to the Democrats, and the few Republicans brave enough to speak up—thank you. You still understand that free speech isn’t treason, that courts aren’t enemies, and that Americans are far more concerned about the economy, foreign policy, health care, and education than how a singer looks or what she says about him. We don’t need loyalty to a man. We need loyalty to the country. And right now, the rest of us are standing here watching a toddler in full meltdown mode throwing paint on the walls of the Oval Office—while you keep handing him more brushes. He’s not well. And you’re letting him trash the house. Also, Taylor Swift has 281 million followers. Trump only has 34 million. I dare you to tell him!
