Keep the wilderness wild!

To: Sen. Schmitt, Sen. Hawley

From: A verified voter in Republic, MO

November 12

I respectfully ask that you actively and vocally oppose the Border Lands Conservation Act recently introduced by your colleague Senator Mike Lee of Utah. I oppose all expansion of development in wilderness areas, and this legislation would permit the construction of roads in sensitive areas under the guise of border security. I believe this is yet another attempt by Senator Lee to undermine access to and enjoyment of public lands by the public. These lands are not only important for recreation, but also for preservation and conservation. Please stand up for public lands and oppose this bill.
