State Leaders: Demand Trump Use SNAP Contingency Funds

To: Gov. Armstrong, Sen. Roers, Rep. Stemen, Rep. Brown

From: A constituent in Horace, ND

October 28

Over 40 million, or roughly 1 in 8 Americans, who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits will stop receiving aid on November 1 due to the government shutdown. Despite the availability of contingency funds that would keep people fed, the Trump regime has decided to completely end aid until the shutdown ends. Our governor and state legislatures need to protect the residents of our state by pressuring Trump to use all available funds to keep SNAP benefits flowing. Do not allow the cruelty of the Trump regime to affect our state.
