congress I am writing to urge you to take immediate action in investigating alarming allegations regarding Donald Trump’s long-standing ties to Russian intelligence. Recent reports from former intelligence officials, including Alnur Mussayev, the former head of Kazakhstan’s security services, claim that Trump was recruited as a KGB asset in 1987 and has operated under the codename “Krasnov.”
These claims, if true, represent an unprecedented national security threat. The evidence of Trump’s alignment with Russian interests—his attacks on NATO, his support for Putin’s foreign policy objectives, and his repeated undermining of American institutions—demands a thorough, transparent investigation.
Despite the severity of these allegations, major media outlets have largely ignored them, and a recent report from The Daily Beast covering the issue was mysteriously deleted. This raises further concerns about obstruction and suppression of critical information regarding our national security.
I am calling on you to:
1 Demand the declassification of all intelligence files related to Trump’s potential connections to Russian intelligence.
2 Subpoena Alnur Mussayev and other former intelligence officials to testify before Congress regarding Trump’s alleged recruitment.
3 Investigate any ongoing Russian influence over American political leaders, particularly within Trump’s administration and campaign.
4 Ensure that if Trump is found to be a foreign asset, appropriate legal action is taken, including potential charges of espionage and treason.
The integrity of our democracy is at stake. If we fail to act on credible allegations that a former U.S. president may have been compromised by a foreign adversary, we are allowing our nation to be subverted from within. This is not a partisan issue—this is a matter of national survival.
I urge you to prioritize this investigation and take decisive action to protect our country from further foreign interference. The American people deserve to know the truth.
