I’m very disappointed to learn that the Senator has, in 2025, in a year where the masked men who are terrorizing our immigrant communities with state sanctioned violence and at the command of the President’s Administration, introduced a bill to make it easier to hire more of these masked men. The Senator’s terribly misguided support of bolstering the number of secret police, because they’re masked, who launch operations to surveil and harass citizens and visitors with military grade weapons and technology, is the worst thing I’ve seen from this office, so far. CBP, and the entire Department of Homeland Security, must be replaced with something that has empathy for human migration in this modern age of globalization. The Democrat party must not continue to sign off on continued support for these heinous acts.
