Investigate and Block Trump's $1.8 Billion Slush Fund — Begin Impeachment Proceedings

To: Rep. Joyce, Sen. Husted, Sen. Moreno

From: A constituent in Willoughby, OH

May 20

Trump's $1.8 billion Treasury fund is theft from the American people, and it demands an immediate impeachment inquiry under Article II, Section 4. This money is not going to genuine victims of government overreach — it is being funneled to January 6 insurrectionists and Trump loyalists, including the family of Ashli Babbitt, a participant in a violent attempt to overthrow a constitutional election. That is not justice. That is a president paying his foot soldiers with public money. The mechanism is a deliberate abuse of power. Trump sued the IRS after a contractor leaked his tax records, and because he now controls the IRS, it cannot resist his demands. The fund is shielded from judicial scrutiny, personally controlled by Trump, and set to expire December 15, 2028 — conveniently before any accountability can reach it. Meanwhile, actual targets of his political vendettas, like James Comey and Adam Schiff, will never see a dime. Trump himself said "I was the hunted. Now I'm the hunter." That is a confession, not a boast. This is blatant corruption. Congress cannot watch silently while a president rewrites the history of January 6 and loots the Treasury to reward the people who tried to destroy our democracy. Start impeachment proceedings now.
