I am very sadden that President Trump has chosen to disrespect our national heritage and traditions by renaming Lake Ontario. This is a stalwart in our national heritage, traditions and honors our Native American peoples. I ask that you immediately demand President Trump end this assault on our national values and stop renaming Lake Ontario and the Gulf of Mexico, names tied to our ancestors, founders and rich American traditions.
