HUD has made a cluster of the Continuum of Care (CoC) process since Trump and Republicans took office in January 2025. HUD has failed to follow Congressional direction to immediately renew already approved projects. Despite thousands of projects needing urgent renewal, only 428 grant agreements have been issued, only 48 of which have been fully executed. This impacts nonprofits and local communities and their ability to pay landlords on time; retain staff; and maintain capacity to effectively operate programs.
Please reach out to HUD and urge them to remove any process steps that are not mandated and to move expeditiously to issue grant agreements and disburse funds for all FY2025 awards.
