Demand ICE ‘officers’ be identifiable and held accountable for their actions

To: Rep. Van Duyne, Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz

From: A constituent in Dallas, TX

February 11

If a masked, armed man in tactical gear, with no identification and no arrest warrant orders me to get into an unmarked van, how do I know if he’s from ICE? How do I know if he’s law enforcement? How do I know he’s not a thief and kidnapper? ICE ‘officers must be banned from wearing face masks and be required to show identification, just as uniformed law enforcement officers must do. Congress has the power to force that change. You have the authority, and the duty, to demand that change. Without such changes, ICE constitutes a lawless-paramilitary organization terrorizing communities with no remorse or accountability. Its anonymous ‘officers’ are killing citizens and residents alike. That blood is on our hands. My wife and I urge you to do everything in your power to demand ICE ‘officers’ be identifiable and held accountable for their actions.
