Don’t Kill a $28.4B Industry – Support Responsible Hemp Regulation

Please vote NO on any attempt to redefine hemp in a way that bans or cripples this uniquely American industry. Such a ban would devastate a thriving sector of our economy, strip consumers of choice, eliminate jobs, and punish the farmers who rely on hemp production. The hemp industry has grown despite ongoing threats of prohibition, misinformation, and regulatory uncertainty. Today, it supports more than 328,000 employees, countless family farmers, veterans, small business owners, and individual consumers, contributing to a $28.4 billion market. The livelihoods of these Americans now rest in the hands of Congress. Rather than banning hemp, the focus should be on implementing clear, responsible regulations that protect public safety while allowing the industry to continue growing. Common-sense solutions include: • Limiting the sale and possession of hemp products to adults over 21 • Requiring standardized manufacturing practices and independent third-party testing to ensure safety and quality • Establishing uniform labeling to help consumers make informed decisions • Setting packaging standards to prevent products from being confused with candy, snacks, or other items that attract minors The hemp industry represents innovation, opportunity, and freedom of choice. Please stand with farmers, workers, small businesses, and consumers by rejecting harmful bans and supporting reasonable regulation that promotes safety without destroying this important American industry.
