Thank you very much for your work to save S.G.V. from deportation and almost certain death. Please also work to stop the newly reported ICE abuse at the Edward R. Roybal federal building in Los Angeles, where per CBS hundreds of people reporting for check-ins were detained overnight this week with limited access to food and water, with dozens held in basement rooms with capacities of 30 and no beds: “Many undocumented immigrants who went to their Immigration and Customs Enforcement check-in appointments at a federal building in Los Angeles this week were taken into custody and brought to the basement and held there, some overnight, according to immigration lawyers and family members” (‘Immigrants at ICE check-ins detained, held in basement of federal building in Los Angeles, some overnight’, 6/6/25).
