Health insurance for everyone in this country is going to increase to unaffordable levels if discounts for ACA plans are not extended. The health care and insurance industry is entirely interconnected, regardless of whether one uses ACA plans or not. The more expensive health insurance becomes, the more people will opt to not purchase insurance and instead use emergency rooms for what should be routine or outpatient care, which will drive health care costs up for everyone. Hurry up and extend the ACA plan subsidies, and reopen the federal government. Then start working on universal health care for everyone in the country. Insurance only works if everyone buys in!
